Gang:

I have two wonderful openings on the Fender web team right now, one for a Web Programmer and one for an Interactive (i.e., Web) Designer.

For detailed job descriptions, visit our Career Opportunities page.

If you're interested and think you have the chops, you're welcome to send a resume to me directly at webmaster AT fender.com. Or if you have friends who are "web geeks" please feel free to spread the word. These are truly great opportunities for anyone who's looking to do industrial-strength web stuff and likes thinking about guitars and amps all day long. :-)

Hi Brad,

I'm sad to see that both positions are out of AZ. I currently manage an MIS organization for a Biotech company and am here in Temecula CA, I would love to forward you my resume for file in case any IT type jobs I may be qualified for come available here in the Southern California area. Is that possible?

Best Regards,
Brian

bp: if you're looking to stay in SoCal, I'd recommend holding on to your resume for now and keeping an eye on our career opportunities page -- I'm really only looking for resumes for these two Scottsdale web group positions.

Just a friendly reminder: this thread is about me trying to recruit some folks to the team in order to help make this site better. I'm not a huge fan of moderating to this degree but this thread rapidly disintegrated into a bickering match and I had to clean it up a bit. Cleaned up and locked.

The forums are here because we wanted to create a fun hangout and introduce some "cool factor" to Fender.com -- since we work full time as Fender's web staff and spend a great deal of our lives here, there's naturally some personal pride that goes into trying to make the site fun and meaningful. There will always be those who insist that everything has to be derived from more cold, corporate, or even sinister objectives -- but, as with life in general, you just have to kind of roll with it and let 'em talk.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming ...
