Hi Jimi: I've always done well with the pre-slotted TUSQ nuts. There's usually only a small amount of additional shaping and slotting to be done on those - and sometimes nothing at all. There are left-handed ones to be found at the bottom of this page:

http://www.wdmusic.com/tusq_nuts.html

And many other nut options here:

http://www.wdmusic.com/nuts_saddles.html

If you don't fancy doing that nut swap yourself it is an inexpensive job for a tech.

Far as the strap is concerned, if you don't want to drill another hole then the only way forward I can think of is to tie the strap to the peghead just above the nut, in the traditional style of acoustic players.

Don't seem like a very rock and roll solution, though... :?

Cheers - C

PS: Remind me, are you in the UK? If so, just look at www.wdmusic.co.uk to find those same nut products closer to home...

Hi again, JimiVanPage: if you haven't seen it already you now need to check out this thread, in order to fully appreciate the offer that's just been made...:

Needless to say, I'd recommend accepting that offer, if I were you!

Cheers - C
