Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I have a good reason. I just moved out of my parents house :D ... finally  .

I moved into a 60 m2 appartment (please don't ask me what that is in spuare feets) that I can call my own.

Everything is still quite a mess, lot of boxes around and alot of things that I still need.

But I'm happy as a... something that is really fricking happy :D

I'm up for the party too.

Man conserve your money. 1 tip, theres nothing worse than having to move back to your folks after you've had a taste of freedom. Pay that rent/mortgage first worry about food and electric after. You can always go back for a feed, trust me they expect it.

Square Meter = @ 10.75 Square feet.

A 650 square foot place is a great size for a single. Congratulations!!!

Hey good luck! It's a great feeling when you're out on your own but as Nikininja suggests, you'll find a meal or two back home will be welcome. I still remember moving out and I soon learned things like guitars and bars can be a luxury but so can food sometimes. So getting the invite from mom (even though I was Mr. Independent now) was a seriously nice break from 6 nights of noodles, butter and stale dry bread.

I soon learned that food, guitars, women and bars would be taking a back seat to rent, auto insurance and work clothes for a while. But trust me, pride and some common sense will get you through it!

unpack the guitar and forget the mess. i'v been in the same place for 30 years and the second floor is full of guitars, basses, amps, cello and radius. hope your place will be the same in a few years.

Thanks guys. lot of great comments here

@ Andy_uk and Nikininja: Your welcome to the party, but it is a BYOB and pay for your own transport :D That IceSave bullsh*t is gonna leave my future children and grandchildren in dept. And if you see some of those Icelandic bankers who screwed that icesave thingy up, just walking around in London town, you can give'em a well deserved punch in the face from Iceland.

@ Miami Mike: I live in a town called Hafnarfjörður, it is on the so called capital city area around Reykjavik. It is about half an hour from Keflavik. Were you stationed in Keflavik??

@ Mr Bill: I'm not familiar with that place on the picture. But because of the weak Icelandic Krona (the currency) now is the right time to travel to Iceland.

I certainly will punch them for you, blo@dy sharks! and as for the BYOB I will do that too. A mate of mine went to Iceland not so long ago and said a glass of beer cost about £8 a time  - reckon I'll buy it here and bring it over.

For one pound you can get about 210 ISK. One can of half liter Carslberg costs about 300 ISK in the liquer store which is about 1,40 to 1,45 pounds. That of course is the currency according to the Icelandic central bank. The European Central bank sell the krona alot cheaper so there is about fifty/fitth change that you might save some pounds by using your credit card.

No, but some friends were, and seemed to like it up there. :)
