I Like the Standard White with Maple Neck idea.
Maybe a Forum Logo on the back of the headstock with 1 of xxx numbering and a custom neck plate.
Could be clean, simple, elegant.

Man im not having anything with a big headstock.

I'd say start with a run of 10 guitars, a choice of 57/62 parts and have the forum logo on the neckplate and headstock with the customshop logo underneath.

Strictly for whoever stumps up the cash before ordering.

Going to pose this to Mike Eldred.

Of course, I don't know your budget, but for what MIM Standards go for these days, what I suggested above shouldn't be too big a bite. Then there' always a version of that (Heaven forbid!!) new Squier everyone's been crowing about. :?

+1. Simple, yet something to call our own (I haven't been here long but it is a great community). I like it 8)

Niki....havent you heard? Big headstocks sound better.

Jay i'll accept a lesser tone if it means my guitar doesnt have one. Anyhow i heard if you wind the strings exactly 4&3/4 turns around the tuner post you get instant layla tone regardless of the guitars hardware.

Dude that's so not true, you have to have a butterfly string tree, and it has to be slightly slanted to the left.......

To do that you need to bring your guitar to the northern glaciers and pray for 8 days straight to the guitar gods.

Here is an easy idea for you guys....

Since, as it seems, about the only thing most on this thread seem to agree on is a decal or logo of some type, why not design special sticker you can all put on your guitars?

Hi Big Jay: I've been scratching my head over it all night and I believe I've come up with a design for those stickers:

Image Image

(Don't know where I got the inspiration from...)

Black or white, to suit different guitars. If folks have other color guitars they want to stick 'em on - well then they're welcome to spend half an hour on Photoshop coloring in the pixels in those little GIFs themselves...!

Someone who was really set on this idea could of course print one of those logos onto waterslide paper and make their own decal for body or headstock. They'd better get written permission from Brad to use Fender's design first, though!

Cheers - C

Wow, Ceri. Those mock-ups look fantastic. Nice work! How much will you sell them for??????

Hi Jay: words such as "copyright" prevent me from saying...

However, if people really want Lounge-ised guitars, then it would be easy as pie for Fender to put that logo on a sticker or decal and sell it from this page in the On Line Store, wouldn't it?

http://www.fenderusa.com/store/enter.ph ... llectibles

(Oh, and on that page we can see the ashtray from which I believe the Lounge logo was taken, if I remember Brad correctly on that point...)

Cheers - C
