I have a scenario. What if everyone and only everyone who has posted on the forum lived in one place? Aside from the best bar/music scene in the world, how do you think this town would look? How would we sustain ourselves as a medium sized city? I know this is an extremely open ended post, but I'm bored and was looking for something to write about. Thanks for reading.

Well...

-We'd be the guitar capital of the world. :D
-We'd be a large city-I looked under the Memberlist tab above and this site has nearly 290,000 members...that is nearly half of the population in my home-state: Vermont.

We'd need more electricity than Vegas. Outsiders might hear a constant "hum" from all the amps playing at once. :P

As important as everything said thus far is, one of utmost and vital importance is, this town should be stocked say, 5 to 1 with all the hot chicks that are seen in every musical instrument ad, who of course, would always be most receptive to rewarding us for our, shall we say, "talent".

Oh it would be terrible. Theres not enough ladies into guitars. Who'd clean up the beer cans?

From what i've seen from alot of musicians the place would be called squalorville. My level headed, rational and sometimes strict wife would leave me if we moved there. Even the dog would give me the lopsided, disgusted stare.

Musicians aren't generaly regular people, we need those regular folks to keep us on the straight and narrow.

I got some more...

-We'd all drive Jaguars and Mustangs.
-We'd read Esquire.
-We'd live near Princeton.
-If someone asked us if we were ready to Rumble...We'd say Alright I'll get my bass.
-Instead of Starbucks...we'd have a Custom Shop on every other corner.

8) 8)

Martian and niki, I was just going to say I thought the men-to-women ratio would be just fine...

Ellen.
You'd have your pick of the disfunctional weirdo's. A different guy every night for the rest of your life. And they'd all annoy you in exactly the same way. You'd spend your life tripping over discarded guitar leads.

Sounds like something out of the twighlight zone to me. Anyway the majority of normal people dont notice when you hit a duff note.

WE WOULD ALL BE HARD OF HEARING :!: AND SINCE WE ARE ALL MUSICIANS WHO WOULD BE DOING THE WORK THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE DOING THE DAY TIME.

Guitar shops at every corner. And a young forum member like myself getting lessons from the guitar veterans.

Free concerts since they'd happen so often

And NO CRIME RATE

Would the Tele players live on the "other side of the tracks" from the Strat Players?

And what would be done with those pesky Gibson folks?
