[Slaps forehead] Yes, of course! Or something similar. Such as...

I'm a lefty but learned righty (as a matter of fact, it's the only thing I do righty). So I know what you're getting at...
That covers me too.

I didn't have access to a lefty guitar when I started. I'm too old to start over.

I'm also a lefty, playing righty.

Nope, it's nothing to do with the rotation of the pots, bells or whistles but it's something I encounter everyday.

It's a little bit trivial and maybe I'm being pedantic but its something that lefties have to put up with. Some lefties may not even notice and just do it.

Anymore for anymore?

Andy

Ha! Thank you for confirming about Gary Moore. I think I'd heard about Paul Simon too, but the other two I didn't know. Good info, thanks!

I think that Fender does read this forum for their own information gathering, particularly for their Marketing organization. To a degree we are a free user group. But, yes, they won't respond to questions or problems ... they just quietly take notes.

That's why any manufacturer creates their own forum in the first place. That and to stimulate sales by having other Fender enthusiasts tout their products.

Ok. Let's set the scene, with a clue or two..or three.

You've got a gig to play so you hump your amp, speakers and guitar (mines a bass) etc. etc. into your car and arrive at the venue.

On arrival, out comes all that you have and you hump it, once again, into the hall and set up your amp, speakers etc on the stage. You open your case and gently take out your beloved friend, connect up, check the tuning and place it on a stand ready to start.

You pick up your guitar and play.

You do the gig and all goes well, have a pint of ale, and then start to pack up. You disconnect your beloved friend, give it a quick wipe down with a rag and put it back inside its case. You then disconnect your amp, speakers and mic and wind up all of your cables and hump everything back to the car.

Next, you go back inside and check you haven't forgotten anything, then collect your money and head off home back to the wife.

Again, get all the stuff out of the car and put it away until the next day.

Job done.

During the above I have encountered the problem (albeit a trivial one) twice.

mmmm.......... any guesses?

Andy

I must have read that scenario about 10 times. The only things I can think of are that you are running the risk of getting your equipment stolen when your back is turned, no one in the band (you said you played bass) lifted a finger to help you and you didn't get asked back to that venue.

Is it the case, or its handle? Considering all the humping going on it must be something to do with transporting the stuff.
