Which is easier to keep in tune. The original floyd rose or the schaller version?

eerrr......I'll say Floyd Rose....Ed use that stuff for extreme dive-bomb and it stays in tune....

maybe it's depending to how you setup the bridge......

PS: I'm online now on facebook! Feel free to ask me there :D

If set up properly, I would think either one would be able to stay in tune decently. PLEASE though, keep in mind you will still need to tune your guitar. I only mention this because I jam with these kids sometimes, and at one session, I just unplugged from a tuner...We start playing, and someone is out of tune...Seeing as I just tuned up my guitar, here is the converation between me and the other guitarist:
ME: Someone is out of tune, but its not me cause I unplugged from a tuner a few seconds ago.
OTHER GUITARIST (OG): Well its not me because I tuned up and locked my guitar LAST WEEK.
ME: Well it'll still go out of tune a bit, so whoever's out of tune is not me.
OG: I tuned up last week and locked it, so its not me either.
ME: If I just unplugged from a tuner, how could I be the one out of tune?
OG: Cause I tuned my guitar and locked the nut last week.
ME: Fine then, I'll just tune to you.
I tuned to his guitar for the next month or so since his guitar was tuned and locked a month ago. For the next 4 weeks we play the same riffs (at least the fingering is the same) yet the OG says no one can remember the riffs from week to week when in reality we were in a different tuning every week. Please note this is just an informal friendly jam sort of thing, if I was serious about a band, I would have stopped playing with these guys years ago.

Mr Thumbs. After considering this conundrum I advise the ibanez lowpro i mentioned lastnight. What keeps a floyd returning to correct pitch is the set up. The knife edges being sharp and smooth and also the post groove being smooth and clean are of paramount importance in getting the thing setup to return to correct pitch. One version of the lowpro has replacable knife edges. Something that i would covet above all else on a fulcrum trem. We know that posts are easily replaced after all.
Dont take EVH as a good advert for floyd, he put a new trem in his guitar every 2 weeks. I cant wear a floyd out that quickly but can do one in 3 months average.

The easy answer is to use a kahler. Their cammed systems return to pitch consistently. They give more scope to set action height and intonation.

Their easier to install too
