Hi Guys,
Some great suggestions here, some of mine already posted, there are quite a few that fill this request like Brothers in Arms- Dire Straits, Nazareth, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Alice Cooper- Welcome to my Nightmare, Black Sabbath, and I like KISS-any album.
 Don't hold that against me.
I am also keen to listen to Tommy Emanuelle, on occasion.

There must be something wrong with me. I cant think of one album by anyone that I think is a good standalone product all the way through. Not Hendrix, Clapton, Green, ZZtop, not anyone. They all need editing.

Theres three I can stomach when I'm bored.

Boomtown Rats, Tonic for the Troops.
Queen, Shear Heart Attack.
Fun Lovin Criminals, Loco.

Bonemassa's coming close with Blues Deluxe, no cigar though.

Another one I liked in the past was Abbey Road, although it's mostly the second side that's like this.

Hi Ellen: totally agree with you about Abbey Road.

For the sake of something different, here's one that won't be popular round here...

When Sting's Soul Cages came out I really disliked it. Listened to it now and again over the months - and then one day something clicked. Now it's my fave Sting album: no particular hits, but unusually for him it has consistent themes and feel all the way through which I find powerful.

But then I have more time for Sting as a songwriter than most people here... (Still want to slap his face, though...)

Cheers - C

It was something about his father beeing sick or dying. All introspective songs, top class musicians, a VERY good album. 8)
Claude.

Soul Cages is a classic..I have enjoyed it many time over the years....

So many stellar choices have already been made, and many that would be in my list.

Just to add to all the greats that have been listed...

Procol Harum Live With The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
Humble Pie - Rockin' The Filmore

BTW, isn't "DIG!" just about the best music documentary ever? Absolutely compelling. And Abbey Road is great to listened to all the way through, a very good choice.

If you are a real Beatles fan, the best album to listen to all the way through is the George Martin & Son remix done for Cirque du Soleil, Love. It is an awesome experience, and you find your brain lighting up like a pinball machine as you start to identify where all the bits and pieces came from. An amazing studio painting.

"Love" is amazing!

I'll throw a few out there; some by previously mentioned bands, and a couple lesser knowns.

Wilco- A Ghost is Born, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
Flaming Lips- Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots
Radiohead- OK Computer, Kid A
Rocco DeLuca- Mercy
State Radio- Us Against The Crown
John Butler Trio- Sunrise Over Sea, April Uprising

I am liking to see the Steely Dan and Donald Fagen love here. GREAT GREAT music.

I read through the first four pages and saw some awesome stuff mentioned, but didn't see anything by

Coheed and Cambria mentioned.

If someone posted it on the next 2 pages I apologize, but since EVERY album they have released is part of one large epic story, I have to say, if I put in one of their albums, I will be listening to Coheed for the next 3 or 4 days, cause I have to listen to ALL of their stuff.
