i listened to 10,000 days by tool

Oh Hell ya!! When Tool's Aenima first came out, it was the only cd in my car for about 6-months. Musta listened to it 50-billion times. I can listen to any Tool cd all the way through.

The list would be pretty big for me on this topic. Here's a few that I have no problems listening to all the way through:

Jimi Hendrix- Blues
Alice In Chains- Unplugged
Deftones- Around the Fur
A Perfect Circle- Thirteenth Step
Bob Marley- Babylon By Bus
Rage Against The Machine- Battle of Los Angeles

Ok.. This would seriously go on for a long time. I'll just leave it at that.

Chinese Democracy is amazing, i t reminds me of the illusions albums in terms of different types of music axl used, its a great album.

I also did something crazy, i listened to all 17 kmfdm albums in one day, it's great to hear a band from the 80's progress every year to present

Another one I liked in the past was Abbey Road, although it's mostly the second side that's like this.

Hi Ellen: totally agree with you about Abbey Road.

For the sake of something different, here's one that won't be popular round here...

When Sting's Soul Cages came out I really disliked it. Listened to it now and again over the months - and then one day something clicked. Now it's my fave Sting album: no particular hits, but unusually for him it has consistent themes and feel all the way through which I find powerful.

But then I have more time for Sting as a songwriter than most people here... (Still want to slap his face, though...)

Cheers - C

It was something about his father beeing sick or dying. All introspective songs, top class musicians, a VERY good album. 8)

Well, Optical Race by Tangerine Dream as always been one of my favourites. Not a bad track on that in my view. I'll stay off guitar albums, there are just too many of those I could mention.
Back in the seventies I had a telescope and did a lot of stargazing at night.
I would play music while I was doing that and an amazing album called Snowflakes Are Dancing by this guy called Tomita was perfect when scanning the skies, searching for celestial lollipops. It was at the time a modern take on Debussy.
Magical stuff, it still blows me away. 8)

I think , even including some of the other masterpieces people here have brought up,that over time my favorite album to sit and listen to start to finish has become Neil Young's "Rust Never Sleeps" Even better, get the video of the concert. it is truly a masterpiece. An eclectic, but seamless blend of acoustic and electric rock.

Lots of good ones already mentioned, of course, and I'm just some guy from the internet... but...

King Crimson Discipline (1981)

... this album has given me fuel for 25 years so far. Adrian Belew, Robert Fripp, Bill Bruford and Tony Levin in full flight.
