And that will be my last post on this completely ruined thread.

All apologies Chet.

Thats it. I try to read between the lines on things that come from MSNBC at times they seem to be an affiliate of one of the political parties like most of the news agencies of today. I was suprised that they posted an article talking about how Mitt Romney said the Obama health care plan is to make it like the single-payer system in Britain. Obama is not making much of the details public yet but they are leaning that way. Also with reviving the Obama / Clinton plan of allowing patients to only receive a establish amount and a apology for malpractice. Many no that Hillary is a socialist and there is no doubt Obama is.

WIKI Socialism. Quote;

Socialism refers to any one of various economic theories of economic organization advocating state or cooperative ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and a society characterized by equal opportunities/means for all individuals with a more egalitarian method of compensation based on the full product of the laborer. Modern socialism originated in the late 18th-century intellectual and working class political movement that criticized the effects of industrialization and private ownership on society. Karl Marx posited that socialism (a stage in which the working class controlled the state and owned the means of production before the state and classes withered away) would be achieved via class struggle and a proletarian revolution, and would be a transitional stage between capitalism and communism (the final stage in which class dichotomies and the state itself ceased to exist).

End quote

Does this sound like what we are seeing today? :twisted:

one thing I'd like to add to this whole discussion is this. I'm so sick of hearing about the auto indusrty. What about the construction industry? We have been completely 100% abandoned.

I made my living working in new home construction. Not only has my work been wiped off the face of the Earth, the WORTH of my services has literally been cut in half or below that. Where I once was making around $30-$40 per hour, I'm now lucky to make $15. Construction companies have now cut our pay in order to "keep their doors open" for us to have a job period. Don't see anyone bailing US out!!

I did everything right. I bought a house I COULD afford. I was never late on any payments. Now I've been on unemployment since last December, and I'm now 3-months behind. I do have a job, but I'm lucky to get 2 houses a month to work on. It just gets deducted from my unemployment pay which is lower than the $15/hr I previously spoke of.

And in case no one's noticed. Our unemployment doesn't come in the form of checks anymore. It's courtesy of Wells Fargo and Visa. In a lot of cases the same fees apply as any regular credit card. The Government already taxes your unemployment, and now there's a new added credit card fee attached to that? Oh and another thing.. You don't get a statement either. The more you're in the dark about the fees the better right?? When I went to transfer my unemployment money from my handy credit card to my Credit Union account to pay my mortgage, I was charged $12 by Visa, $2 by Wells fargo, and $2 by my bank.

Did anyone ever notice that your DMV fines never dropped either? Because of my recent unemployment problem, and adjustment to the whole mess, I was late on my car insurance by a few days. But because I had 2-cars on my policy, the DMV charged me $500 of my umemployment money if I wanted to drive again!! $500 of my so called government money that I worked for and paid into for my "protection", just got taken back by the government anyway..I need my truck to make my money, so I had no choice but to comply with their ridiculous fee.

One way or another our government and bankers are going to try to suck the life out of me. They've been trying to for years. I'll find a way to survive my way through it. It just pains me that every recession since Bush Sr. nobody gives a f**k about the construction industry, and how the rug has been pulled from our feet time and time again.

Auto industry.. Join the club. You're a little late to this party.

Thats reason unemployment is now being done with Visa cards is that the state that issues your unemployment recaives a portion of the fees collected from the issueing company. Many large businesses that issue hundreds or even thousand of cards to staff for office or individual budget purposes negotiate with the issuers for a portion of the fees collected from the busineses that exept there cards for puchases. States are now in on the action!
