Hello all.

Let me say first off, I LOVE Fenders. Amazing guiars, amazing tone, amazing feel, and there's something about a Fender that makes my heart skip a beat, they're so inspiring. No other guitar company has been able to do that to me, I just don't get it... they're inspiring.

Okay, now onto my background a bit. I am currently an employee of DR Strings, testing strings for quality assurance as well as working in the online department, and am working on press releases and advertisements.

Also, I work for Ultimate-Guitar.com, writing articles. you can see my work quite a bit, though I've slowed down in writing recently.

Once again, hello all.

I once tried DR strings, did not like them.
The intonation on my strat was horible out of tune.
Got back to my own branch......no problemo !
A very strange experience.

Some brands need stretched more then others before they're stable.

Yeah, they're definitely not your normal string in terms of tone. The intonation thing is odd, maybe it had to do with tensions or gauges, or maybe just different companies...

Also, with DR they have multiple lines of strings, each tonally distictive, and it's hard to pick out which one you want if you don't know someone who's tried out all of their strings. I see where you're coming from.

I'll stick to my Slinkey's. They've worked just fine for me for the last 30 or so years.

The sound and playability were oke, but even after stretching they did not
intonate properly, maybe a bad set. Also it's years ago now.
I got my favorites now, last few years D'Addario and before that GHS
Boomers. In the very beginning Fender strings, some 30 years in the past.
I'm almost 51 now and still Fenders are my number ONE guitars.
