I made a backing track of it for a another forum, where I named it (Don't) 'Sue Me' http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7610246.

It's in B, and the bridge isn't correct, I felt that I better alter the song somewhat.

Unfortunately I'm no longer a Green Day fan. Infact, I probably hate them now.

I liked them before they were paid to change their image. I'm talking the pre-mascara/emo clothing/black hair stage that began at American Idiot.

Dookie and Nimrod were amazing.

I don't agree with that... other artists change their image. I don't dress the same as I did when I was a kid. They get a little older each day just like everyone else. They can't stay punks forever. Look at the Beastie Boys... they were part of the Hardcore music scene before they started rapping.

I don't think Greenday sold out as much as they just sold well...

Exactly.

I love Lars Ulrich's answer to an interviewer who asked him about charges from Metallica's fans that they were "sell outs." "You're damn right!" Lars said. "We sell out every night, every place we play!"

If you think a band has "sold out" because they changed what they wear, you are listening to music for all the wrong reasons.

although I liked warning and shenanigans too...
It really all ended when I started playing the guitar, for the obvious reasons

Actually, unless I missed something... the reasons aren't obvious... I started playing guitar seven years before all the members of Green Day were born, but that's not a reason to like them or dislike them, is it? The reasons why I do or don't aren't obvious to anyone unless I state them. I'm not trying to argue with ya, or get you to like them. Afterall, I ain't got a nickel in it. But, since this is a forum, and we're following a thread, there may be some people out there who would like to know your reasons... and it can't just be "...because they suck..." or , "...they all wear eye makeup...", or "...because they're all in their 30's now, and they aren't punk enough..."

And thanks to the original poster for providing the chords. When I first listened to the CD, 21 Guns was the standout. I had heard Know Your Enemy before... so, I was used to hearing that one already.

That's because it's now quite obvious they're more interested in a quick buck than actually making music anymore. They figure that changing their looks will appeal more to todays youth, and in turn help them sell more albums. Have you actually heard their new single? It's crap (can I say crap here?), that likely didn't have very much effort put in.

I liked it better when they were kids still trying to make it - before they become sellouts.

I didn't buy the single... I bought the whole album. As I said, I still like Green Day. So, I guess artists aren't supposed to make money. And I also assume that artists have to be young and starving or else they're sell-outs?... (Let me guess... you were a huge Menudo fan...)
