I started playing guitar when i was very young, and started with theory, i was kinda throwned off by it and stop playing seriously for 3-4 years, then i took a guitar lesson that was more for fun, not alot of theory. That's when i started playing guitar alot ant improving my guitar skills. I never stopped playing since then.

So yeah, it's good if you know alot about music/theory, but as long you play guitar the way you like, that's the important.

Acknowledged; reading makes you better is great and no contest, philosophically.

Fitting in playing not too much time per day because of busy life tho has made this picker less concerned about reading than would be ideal.

Oh, well.
