Crash movie review for you all. I was going to take the old lady to "The Hangover", but it sold out rather quickly and we caught this one instead.

Anyway this is your textbook horror flick. Hot chick gets cursed.. starts having a demon bothering her. Boyfriend is a psychologist and always tries to rationalize her seeing things.

Obviously the scenerio is pretty boring. But infact this movie turned out to be rather entertaining. We all know what we're expecting, and the producers know what we're expecting. So they take what we see and manage to add some comedy to many of the "scarier" parts. You'll have to watch it to see what I mean. You sort of have to laugh at just how stupid it really is.

Overall I was very entertained by the time I left the theatre. I'd recommend the movie to anyone who doesn't have anything better to do.

Your description of the film is exactly what a good horror flick is. It should be slow at first... and then scary. As for the humor... I figured it would be funny. That's what the director, Sam Raimi did in The Evil Dead Trilogy. Especially Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness (which is part 3). I haven't seen it yet... movies are expensive when you're unemployed. I'll have to wait until it goes to video...
