Steve Dawson; engineer and amplifier designer For Marshall Amps has mentioned he is in fact working on a Gary Moore signature amp due for release sometime in 2010. He is releasing no other info at this time about specifics of the amp but did say he took Gary a prototype of the amp to Newcastle City Hall two week ago for Gary to try, and said Mr Moore was blown away with the product. At this time they are moving in the right direction for a amp release sometime next year..

I found this video this morning while surfing. It’s a super video that had me grinning from ear to ear the whole time I watched it…..BB King / and Gary Moore, doing the Thrill is gone. Thought I would share it for you BB and Gary / blues fans alike..

Enjoy…Bill

Yes thats from the live blues-ballads and blues dvd I wrote a post about last week on, A must have for any GARY MOORE or any fan of the blues or guitar period. I was turned on to Gary later in life(20 years ago) and anyone looking for some great playing if you have never heard or seen him you are in for the treat of a lifetime. As far as a Moore amp well everyone knows gary has one of the greatest tones ever especialy when he is doing blues. I check every year faithfully to see if he is touring the states but I read where he said it is just to expensive to do. Maybe he and Beck could double up and do a set of shows together. What I wouldnt give to see that. I have been with my wife 32 years since I was 15 and there are only 2 players she ever stopped what she was doing to come and watch who it was, SRV and Gary Moore.

I like his tune, "Cold Day in Hell." The horns sound great with his amazing chops.

I have loved listening to Gary, one of those under the radar blues players. He can play! Those who know of him probably don't understand,. He never lets me down when I cue a cd up. He is one of the guys I still need to see live. I bet his new amp will be a killer!

I see that Gibson is once again making a "Gary Moore" model Les Paul.

This time it is built upon the BFG model, of all things!

I'm a big Gary Moore fan. I have most of his CD's, some boots and some DVD's.

My LP has the Peter Greene mod too!

Me too. I also have quite a lot of GM vinyl, VHS, and many cassettes of his concerts. One poster.

You must have the Thin Lizzy, Coliseum II, Scars, BMH (Jack Bruce, Gary Moore, Gary Husband), and BBM (Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Gary Moore) stuff too?

Funny thing is I want to see him live so bad and I did already without even knowing it. I think it was 1976, well anyway I was always a big Queen fan and when I saw them at Madison Square Garden Thin Lizzy opened for them and I read an interview with Gary Moore and he said he played with Lizzy on that tour. They were killer both bands but I did not know who G.M was at that time. Is that a weird one or what.
