Hey there

I've just gotten a job in a Guitar store, and this means I can get products at stock price (i.e. without the retail markup). But I cannot decide what I should do! Here are my two options:

1. Martin D16RGT (I'll get it for around £850)
2. Fender Blues Junior w/ Celestion 30 to go with my other Blues Junior (£400)

Currently I don't have an acoustic, I recently sold mine - but I don't really miss it. I'm just about to start a band and I'm thinking that running two amps stereo would sound ace, but also be great fun!

I'll get them both eventually, but I was hoping you guys could tell me what to get tomorrow!?

ANY advice would be SO cool.

Hope you're all good!!

Ed

I would go with the acoustic.Since you already have a blues junior getting the acoustic will feel more satisfieng and since it is not the model you just got rid of might spark some creativity.Just my point of view.

Never mind about tomorrow.
You can get stuff at stock price?.......Can I be your friend?

Ok, If you have stereo effects, go for the amp.

If you say your not really missing your old acoustic then why spend good $ on another? I would get the 2nd amp. However; If were mine to choose, I'd consider something other than another blues jr. Best of luck with whatever you decide and congrats on scoring the job at a music store!

Is this true?! Do people working at guitar stores (Eg Guitar Center) really all get stock discounts? Maybe I could persuade the next dealer I run into to buy me something for some $$.

I vote the acoustic.

Hey guys - thanks so much for your replies, really helpful!!

Regarding the stock stuff, I'm not sure every store does it, maybe it's just a courtey of mine? I was tempted to buy a load of stuff then sell it on and make a profit!! But that's not really on, and the store won't let me go crazy as they don't get any profit out of it!

That's too bad :(

You could just do it in small increments. Maybe like once a month to make a nice profit on the side.

I'd go for a second amp but a different model - more flexibility that way.
