So please, if you are knowledgable about Squier Strats, I would appreciate your input on my post in the Squier section.

Linky dinky here;
http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... 389#266389

I'm not looking to sell this guitar. It's worth far more as a player than it would ever bring on the used market. I'd just like to be able to tell people what it is, and maybe get some idea of the value.

It's the first Squier that ever really impressed me, and the only Strat I ever had that I wanted to keep.

Thanks in advance for any help here.
Bryan

You get better success on these types of things with pictures. Just a suggestion.

I'm putting some on the original thread in just a minute. I was being lazy and hoped I wouldn't have to. :)

Thanks

I am sorry. I did not scroll down far enough for the pics of your git. Here they are:

Cool! Thanks for transferring the pics.

The serial # indicates that it was made in the Ensenada plant in '98 or '99, but other than that, I can't come up with any info.

I did web searches for similar guitars, but didn't come up with any useful info.

It seems that a couple of people who replied think it's a "Fat Strat", and maybe we could verify that, now that the pics are up.

Thanks

Don't you numbnuts go falling all over yourselves to help a fella out.

Sorry to disturb your nap. You can get back to whatever the hell you do here now.

Appears to be a '98 Squire Standard Strat with a HSS configuration or AKA "Fat Strat". Love the color. I am not sure what else you may want to know. And yes the Squire Forum does not get much traffic. Sorry I have been at work most of the day.
