I've been around a few times, but forgot to introduce myself. Name is Robert, i play Strats mostly, and I love blues, jazz, rock and improvisation.

I live in Alberta, Canada and I am a marathon runner as well. I teach guitar at the local music store too.

I also run a website devoted to free video lessons at www.dolphinstreet.com, although my day job makes it hard to be very productive in this area.

I love Fender amps, and I'm currently thinking about getting a Pro Junior, since I really like the tone of these little amps.

Cheers!

Do it...I love my PJ with JJs and a Rajin' Cajun speaker.

..and welcome!

Hi, Robert.
It's funny, I have Dolphinstreet saved in my Favorites.
I think I saw you shredding through a Robben Ford 'Help The Poor'
sounding lead. If so, you rock.
What goes into that solo, scale-wise? I want to learn this. At my remedial
pace, any help would be most welcome.

Thanks guys, well I am not sure if I recorded anything playing Help The Poor, I can't remember. I know the song though. Not sure how to answer your question. It's mostly Dorian mode, and the Alt. scale over the V chord, if I remember correctly?

Welcome Robert from Canada (though we won't hold that against you!). This is a good place and if you don't post photos of your stuff, we won't believe it exists! (j/k).
I just bookmarked your site and will definitely check it out.

Hi Robert!

Strange coincidence-- I hadn't been to this forum in ages, decide to take a peek, and there you are!

Good day, eh?

Hi Robert - I'm glad you took my advice and joined, this is great site. I've been trying to players interested in 'online' jams, but they must not be interested.
