Hi everyone, I'm Taurus. At least that's what I'm calling myself here.
I've been reading this forum and finally joined.
I play an American Deluxe Strat with the trick volume knob thing.
Its 2 toned sunburst, which I love looking at. Sometimes i just lay in bed
and hold the guitar out in front of me and stare at it.
I have a Peavy practice amp with an overdrive switch, which is adjustable.
Great 'cause I just like a little break-up in my sound. With my semi-hollow,
an Ibanez Artstar, it becomes unmanagable. Who cares? I got a Strat.
I'm a 60 y/o contractor. I have no wife, no kids and no responsibility.
I like blues and other types of music. Popa Chubby is a favorite.
Robben Ford. Wanna learn some Duke Levine.
That over the top Texas blues Strat tone is not for me, you understand.
I like the people in this forum. No vitriol, no name calling.
I have so many questions.
I know you all are going to help me and I'm pleased to meet you.

Must be Taurus the bull since, I bought a GMC truck days before the
dealership closed down.

Welcome!

With the Artstar, did you move around location-wise relative to the amp, to try and minimize the feedback? Feedback can be real directional, sometimes you can get lucky and find a sweet spot to stand where it's greatly minimized.
