Sympathies and prayers for healing.

We are on our third sequential Scottie and there is no doubt, Maggie and Angus will be waiting in the next realm when we arrive.

'Believe the cure is another one just like her, if the breed is in vibe with your lives.

We have a 6 year old dachshund we've had since she was 5 weeks old and a nine year old dachshund/beagle mix we rescued from a bad situation 4 years ago. These dogs are our babies since our children have gotten out on their own. If anything happened to either one of these little animals my wife and I would be devastated.

You have my deepest sympathy and prayers that you will be able to cope soon.

David

Thanks again for all your kind sympathies. I am a little better today as I spoke with a grief counselor from Iams pet food last night and it really helped. I just never say this coming, the inconsolable grief that is, and felt out of control for a few days. People love and hug your pets and cherish every moment with them. They are truly a gift from God and need to be cherished.

This morning, our sweet, sweet Dina was diagnosed with stomach cancer and a clot in her aorta that would eventually paralyze her rear legs. She basically stopped eating a week or so ago, and has gone from a healthy 58 lbs down to 48 lbs this morning. The vet said her quality of life is poor right now; she is constantly spitting up clear mucus; last week it was bile. Her energy level is down and the constricted blood flow to her rear legs has affected how she walks and sits.

I am so,so sad, but I also know that she has had a good life and was loved by everyone who met her. My son,Michael will be back from Disney Friday, and we will do what has to be done. Dina was the one who suckered him into bring her home from the shelter; she fell asleep in his lap on the way home; since then, she's given us so much unconditional love and has been unconditionally loved in return. I know there is a doggie heaven, and when the time comes, that is where she will go.
Give all your loved ones, human and otherwise lots of hugs and kisses tonight.
Serge

So sorry to hear the news, both of you, and we're all here of course any time you want to talk. Remember the good times you had together, and be gentle with yourself because it will hurt for a while.
