if you're wanting your own band, make some fliers and post them in guitar shops. most shops have a bulletin board for this reason. you can also try craigslist.

same thing if you want to joing a band, looking for a lead (or bass or rhythm, whatever you play) guitarist. just check the boards and craigslist.

Im not sure 'bout you, but I know people that just wanted to start a band, but if you don't then I suggest postin' fliers and askin' music shops.

Well, that's a pretty wide open question.

Do you mean, as in, how do I find people, etc? You'd have to know what you want in a band (styles, originals, etc), and put the word out, post local flyers, etc that get others like you in touch with each other. Music stores are good for that.

If you mean, as in, you have people that can play and want to know what to do next? That all depends on what you plan to do. Happy with just jamming? Play at parties, festivals, local venues, opening for more established, band, touring, recording.

There is a TON of things from "what is a band" to "now that we've toured and recorded, who do I get a slot opening for XXX, or getting a spot on David Letterman" - and everything in between. Not sure exactly what that open question of your is looking for - at the moment.

As far as finding people, check out the musician community on your local craigslist.

As far as how to manage and organize things, check out this book, it's a great read!

I was able to find a copy in my local library.
