As we know, Holy Bible said that God created this world, start from the sky, until Adam....

my question is (actually this is kinda dumb question, but I never get the answer):
IF human, animals, and every creatures on earth (and on other planets?) made by GOD, where the hell the fossil came from? Where the hell the evolution theory came from?

Have you ever think about that? :?: :?:

I don't know if this is really the place for a creationism vs. evolution debate, but as a graduate of a Catholic grade school and high school, I'll put my 2 cents in....

The modern, post Vatican II Catholic church views the creation story in Genesis as a metaphor for God's creation of the universe and of man -- and of man's imperfections and sins ultimately causing a seperation between man and God. This rift can only be bridged through rejection of sin, leading a good life and following the laws of God.

The Bible's creation story is NOT meant to be taken as literal truth (though Fundamentalists will argue with you here).

Religion and science can co-exist, as far as I'm concerned. Science strives to explain the mechanics of the universe, the rules under which God operates, so to speak. But science can never explain the "whys" of our existance: why we are here, what we are supposed to do with our lives, why bad things happen to good people, etc. That is the realm of philosophy and religion.

Anyway, that's my opinion -- I'll now shut up on the matter.

That's make sense....anyway I had many arguments with my friends....but he gave me one more stupid question... give your opinion about this:

"Where is God" - Heaven
"Where is Heaven" - up in the sky
"Where is the edge of the sky" - there's no edge
"So there's no Heaven, which is there's no God"
and I went: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Um, I'll add one more :?:

I don't know, the whole religion thing is something people can argue about 'till they're blue in the face (that's why I'm not going to start arguing about it here).

I'd just be wary of anyone on either side of the fence -- religious or athiest -- who's trying overly hard to convince you that their opinon is right. They usually have some sort of ulterior motive...

yeah, and there's no country which only hold ONE religion.....and usually once a religion try to convince you that their opinon is right, it will be the genesis of a conflict.....

I don't wanna write now, but I have a bunch of experience about it....but the main causes oftenly their own Holy Bible which contains different laws and truth with others....

That's why, your post ("The Bible's creation story is NOT meant to be taken as literal truth") actually make sense.....

leo , bro hope this helps , this forum is for all levels of fender guitar players , from those who are just starting to think about it to those who are semi-retired from it , so this thread is like draining the water out of the pond the inhabitants would like to think they know what to do , but , without the water ,or, in our case guitars and music , its really not happening ,so, i posted what i could remember of this 'good thoughts , bad thoughts' on the last thread on the subject....."...... the oak sleeps in the acorn , the giant sequoia tree sleeps in its tiny seed , the bird waits in the egg , god waits for his unfoldment in man , be careful of the thought seeds that you plant in the garden of your mind because seeds will grow after their kind , any thought felt as true or allowed to be accepted as true by your concious mind takes root in your subconcious mind and blossoms sooner or later into an act which bears its own fruit , good thoughts bring forth good fruit , bullshit thoughts will rot your meat , think right and you can fly , the kingdom of heaven is within , free your mind and your a s s will follow. cheers !

what if god created all the animals with a plan for them to evolve? then everyone wins, right?

Well, i think his point was: if the world is only around 6,000 years old( and there is some religious organization that has a calendar they say dates it back to day one, http://www.independencebaptist.org/6,00 ... _earth.htm ) where did all the millions year old fossils come from?

Personally I agree that Mike Eldred and Co. over at the custom shop are the most likely source.
