i have to defend guitar hero in one way...it does exercise finger dexterity. i bet anybody who is good at that game can shred guitar like a madman...

Maybe it's just me, but I can't play GH, particularly if I know how to play the song for real. I keep reaching for where the notes/chords really are rather than the cute little colored buttons.[/quote]

oh yea same here, absolutely suck at the game. the underlying myth is that guitar players generally struggle with it. i guess cuz its like rehab almost, you literally have to "re-learn to play guitar" so-to-speak, since its a whole different beast we got here.

but i do believe it serves as a great finger training for when you play solo's on real guitar...that is if people still even play guitar solo's. some people around here are too cool to be bothered with such a silly concept...

Let the youth have Guitar Hero. It's just a game. It does introduce music to young people that they might not have ever heard otherwise. For me personally, it is a waste of time. I would rather be here on the Forum or playing my guitar during my off time than re learning "Smoke On the Water" on GH.

Yeah that is a very happy and sad movie. I love the music attributes to the movie too. The way the boy plays is amazing. Hey guys have you ever noticed that he has adult hands like they really arent his

dj hero is for the non rock audience so i have nothing to complain.

I am a big guitar hero/rock band fan. These games actually helped me extend my pink finger on the real guitar.

Two of my friends including my cousin are playing and enjoying real guitar because they had so much fun with the game.

i have nothing but praise for the developers who made a great game.

If Guitar Hero inspires someone to start playing real guitar then it sounds like a good thing. If someone plays video games for hours while the real guitar just sits in the case then maybe not such a good thing.

My neighbor plays Guitar Hero all the time but she won't touch a real guitar.
