It's called Rock Band. You hit the mic during the tambourine parts.

Then they'll already have Crosstown Traffic ready for that game, if memory serves me correctly he (Hendrix) used a kazoo in that one.

Didn't they use a comb with some kind of paper folded over it?

They might have. I seemed to remember reading it was a kazoo in some liner notes. I'd have to go check.

The comb thing reminds me of Ned Flanders making the "hover bike" sound on the Simpsons.

Here we go for the kazoo thing:
http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=33:apfwxct5ld6e the allmusic blog indicates it was a kazoo.

OK. I do remember hearing that Hendrix did use a comb at some point, but I don't remember exactly what song.

dj hero is for the non rock audience so i have nothing to complain.

I am a big guitar hero/rock band fan. These games actually helped me extend my pink finger on the real guitar.

Two of my friends including my cousin are playing and enjoying real guitar because they had so much fun with the game.

i have nothing but praise for the developers who made a great game.

I love reading what different things musicians use to add to their songs. It's pretty inspiring.

Another twist on that is what musicians hear that turns into music. Check out the movie August Rush.

i have to defend guitar hero in one way...it does exercise finger dexterity. i bet anybody who is good at that game can shred guitar like a madman...[/quote]

Maybe it's just me, but I can't play GH, particularly if I know how to play the song for real. I keep reaching for where the notes/chords really are rather than the cute little colored buttons.
