I was just thumbing thru a magazine and cam across an article for a new game called DJ hero. As the name implies, it comes with a hokey looking turntable covered in buttons. Where will it end?

These are GAMES. Do you suppose that Clue undermines the murder detective industry, that Donkey Kong promoted cruelty to apes, that Halo promotes intergalactic war?

No. They're games. So is Guitar Hero. It has nothing to do with playing the guitar, and it doesn't threaten you in any way.

So why do you care?

Care? I dont at all! I do however find the constant milking of music themed games rather amusing! Truth be told I'm anxiously awaiting harmonica hero!

Ha! Nop, sorry dude.... by the time Master Sergeant calls on you, that food will have gone bad.

I have a different perspective on the game industry: my son is an animator who has worked at EA (The Sims, MySims) and LucasArts (The FOrce Unleashed), and is now at Bungie.

ah, so THAT'S why you flipped out earlier

i have to agree that DJ hero sounds a bit silly, but i could see it being challenging. you need some quick reaction to change those records.
i wonder if the game involves ruining the music industry and putting cover musicians out of jobs...

i have to defend guitar hero in one way...it does exercise finger dexterity. i bet anybody who is good at that game can shred guitar like a madman...needless to say they still have yet to learn how to ACTUALLY PLAY a guitar, and how the frets are ACTUALLY ORGANIZED on the neck. for starters, pushing two notes on the same string, 1/2 step apart does not equal a power chord. ::vomit::

i layed down the guitar hero controller the same day i picked up a real guitar. girls are far more impressed when you can play something on real guitar rather than your awsomely fast solo tabbed out in the colors green, yellow ,red, blue, and orange

Spare me the rolling eyes, junior. If you think that was "flipping out," then you need to develop some higher social skills.
