Check out the Arc Angels. They formed in the early 90's with Chris Layton, Tommy Shannon, Doyle Bramhall II, and Charlie Sexton. Shortly after that they broke up. The Arc Angels have reformed with Chris Layton, Doyle Bramhall II, and Charlie Sexton.

Don't forget about Popa Chubby. He has his roots in New York city and has influences from SRV, Jimi Hendriks, Eric Clapton, Led Zepplin, and others. He generally only plays the East Coast and Europe. Here's his website:

Yes Chicken Foot is one release I am waiting for,as Satch is such a melodic player I cant wait to see what he finaly does in a vocal band setting, and thanks Chet as I never heard ARC ANGEL but I love those guys who make up the band so another must check out.For those who dont know Kenny Wayne is back after taking a few years off for a heroin problem.Glad he cleaned up as I am a fan.

Not new--but one you may not have heard about is the Glenn Kaiser Band-
I love their stuff.
So far Four studio albums, and a live one--plus Glenn's done some other blues albums, such as an album called Ripley County Blues--with the same guys from GKB and few others as well.

Carolina Moon is my favorite.

I was surprised and a little shocked to see that Tommy Shannon would not be part of the Arc Angels this time around.
