Hi Tony,

First off - This is a Great Idea!!
I hope it continues on.

I will download your BT (and will probably scarf up others too  ) when the internet speed allows .

It may take a little time to catch on at this site. I know that I think of this site as a "gear site" - more than a music site. With the depression and all - and no money for any more music stuff (the wife and kids like to eat :) ) - I don't look at "gear" any more. I suspect there are more than just me in this situation. I just came back today for a quick look, and found your post.

A section for BT's and collaboration could bring people back, after the word gets out.

A request - could you post what key the BT uses? I think this will help more folks, than just me, in using the BT's. Also, a list of free to use sound file converters could be a big help.

Great Idea Tony!!

Yeah, I understand, but gear=music to me. I wasn't able to afford more than one guitar and amp for years, so I learnt to make do with what I had, I still have the first Strat I brought when I started playing in '72, Image.

Yes, I understand what you mean, it's just that I'm finding that 'ear-training' seems to be a lost art now. I was in GC, and this kid was playing 'Sunshine of Your Love'. I sat down and played with him, and came to find out that he learned from tab off the Internet, and didn't know what key he was playing in :!:

'Hard Rockin' is in 'E', a player can use iTumes or free Audacity audio editor http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ to convert MP3 to WAV, and WAV to MP3.

Mike - Wow, that was a fun track! I love this because it's a chance to play to a track, other than the ones I create. I named it 'G String' http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7677223.

Ok, here's the tech info: I used my '98 Strat, my BOSS BR-600 recorder and the BG (Buddy Guy) guitar patch. I did tweak the EQ, I set the HiF=600HZ.

I still can't believe that there aren't more players .

Aaron - I grabbed your 'May Rock BT2' bt http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7658712, wow you have great tone on your guitar, the whole songs has great vibe.

It took me a couple of takes to come up with something different, than usual for me. Here it is, I call mine June Buzz http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7685333.

Well, I guess all the folks here at the 'official' Fender forum just buy gear and don't make music  .

I think that others record at home but maybe don't know about the different hosting sites :?:

www.soundclick.com

www.songramp.com

www.mixposure.com (under construction...soon to be tuneflow.com)

www.reverbnation.com

Those are just a few...so if you register (free) you can dump another backing track into your hardware or software (DAW) and just jam along and then post it.

Now if you're looking for hardware, the BR series is a good line...

I hope that's true. I've never known any guitar players that didn't want to strut their stuff, or not record themselves.

Miami Mike posted a neat ambient track on another called 'Transition Day' http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7703261 in honor of analog to digital.

I though it cool and recorded a lead guitar track to it http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7714595.

It's in 'E', in case anyone wants to try a take.

I guess it help if I added a link to the track, it's called Cold Neckbones http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7733846.

It's in 'G', here I uploaded just bass & drums. I recorded the bass track with my Squire P-Bass in my BOSS BR-600. I don't play bass much, so if someone else wants to re-do the bass, that's would be great.

The drums were arranged in the BR-600, all mixing & EQ was done in my BR-600. I did use Audacity to convert the WAV file to MP3 to upload to Soundclick.

This is a wonderful way to pick up some ear training.

Here is one of my BT's I am working on a couple of other ones, but I get lazy when it is raining outside.

Well I've been home for that last week with the flu, I just felt good enough to play guitar yesterday, record a guitar to your fun track.

I named my version Poot http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7540740.

I watched David Bowie in 'The Man That Fell to Earth' the other night, it had a great '70s soundtrack. I'm working on a BT inspired by the movie now. I'll post later :) .
