Mrs. Osbourne and the BLS crew left a bad taste in my mouth after the mistreated the Fender wielding Iron Maiden.

Thou shalt not mess with Maiden!

They were definitely pioneers of the some of the hardest rockin' music on the planet. Ozzy is and always will be a genius and a true artist !!!

Without any doubt, the loudest show I ever saw was Black Sabbath.

Certainly not my favorite, but I like 'em. Their stuff is easy to play, and fun too.

I have often thought and wondered how big Black Sabbath would be if Tony Iommi's strat did not act up during their first recording session. Legend has it that Tony's infamous SG was actually his backup guitar and a Strat was his main one, but during the recording of the 1st album, a pickup went bad on the Strat. Keep in mind this was back in the day before there were hundreds of aftermarket parts available, so he recorded the sessions with his SG instead. Of course as we all know, the SG into Laney/Orange amps is the famous Black Sabbath sound, but would they have been as dark, and as popular, if he kept using his strat? Just one of those sort of rhetorical questions to think about over the weekend.
