I know who Tal Wilkenfield is, but does the general public? Guitar forum members seem to forget that we're the minority.

I believe it's Tal Wilkenfeld. I saw her playing with Jeff Beck on the Crossroads Guitar Festival DVD. Young amazing Australian jazz bassist and not hard to look at either. I believe Orianthi Panagaris is Carrie Underwoods guitar player.

Now for the big question, is it because of their stunning musicianship, or their stunning good looks?

I'd never know them by name, but I do remember seeing Carrie's band and thinking the guitar player is very good AND hot - a great combo.

I'm a little partial to one of my instructors from Interlochen - Ana Vidovic. Great classical guitarist AND also not too horrifying to take a gander at...

DOC,thanks for the turn on.I CANNOT BELIVE I never read or heard of Oriantha befor.Wow she has some serious chops and not just for a girl.I just watched a 9 minuete medley of her on youtube yes that would be a nice pairing indeed.

She's seen in a short take on the latest "Crossroads Concert" DVD. It was "wow"!! Then I had to find out who it was from there. It was like the search for the Holy Grail.
