Hello, I'm not good at introductions but will give it a try.

My first record was Deep Purple's Machine Head, a communion gift in second grade when I was seven. Just weeks after and with a little persuading I had all Deep Purple had to offer. One year later I received my first Stratocaster, a 1979 vintage burst with a maple neck. Needless to say, I was glued to the Stratocaster and have been ever since. There were times over the past 25+ years I've used other brands but always came back to my Strats.

Over the year I've had an impressive Stratocaster collection ranging from 1969, a few 90's, a blond '57 CS Mary Kay, and the meat of them being 70's. Yeah, I'm a big headstock guy. :D (Boy, this makes be want to dig up some pics.) Most of them were sold off to help pay off my house when I lost my job after 911. I digress.

Lately I've been playing another Custom Shop brand and just recently played a new American Standard. A friend of mine and big Stratocaster guy happened to receive a delivery while I was over. It was a 3 tone burst American Standard. Like always it brought me back to my first love. Naturally I asked to play it and fell in love all over again. Over the past few weeks my friend picked up three more American Standards and I've got to say I was impressed again and again.

Today I ordered the Olympic White American Standard w/rosewood board, a Fender 60's green tint pickguard, knobs, tip & covers and my usual three way switch and DiMarzio H3's. I could feel an entirely new inspiration coming on and can't wait to write and gig with this beauty. My funds aren't what they use to be but I could see myself putting together another nice Strat collection.

There's my introduction. I hope to learn a bunch here and help out when I can. My primary inspirations are anything Ritchie Blackmore, early Scorpions(Uli), Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Dio and any good, hmmm...some bad, guitar driven Metal and Rock bands.

Thanks for your time.
- J

Welcome to the forums. An Uli Roth fan eh, I saw him play live in a small club with the Scorpions back in the mid seventies. The best sounding Strat I've ever heard. Amazing!!........have fun here. 8)
