Nobody is going to vote for Ringo, and I hate seeing him left out, so I'll give a tip of my hat to him. Some of the Beatles' catchiest song titles came from phrases he invented.

I've heard people say McCartney was the best guitarist of the three!! I forgot how he ended up being the bassist.[/quote]

Stu Sutcliffe was the original bassist from the Quarryman days, but he wasn't a very good player. He was in the band because John said so. Lots of times, Stu turned his back to the audience so they couldn't tell he wasn't actually playing, and the others filled in the bass line (in the early days, not that many people could tell the difference). Once Paul joined the band, Stu's days were numbered, since Paul could play pretty much any instrument you threw at him. But Paul didn't officially take on the role of bass player until Stu decided to leave the Beatles to stay in Hamburg with Astrid. And the rest as they say, is history...

My favorite Beatle is Yoko Ono. She broke the Beatles up and then John went on and started making some really impressive music. Plus, like all others, I love to hate her.

My favorite Yoko Ono song is "Who has seen the wind?" Well, it was the Plastic Ono Band. Great song.
