Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a bridge single-coil pickup on my S/S/S MIA strat to better suit the musical genre I play. I mostly play technical death metal and power metal. I purchased a stratocaster because I love the look and am a big fan of Yngwie Malmsteen. Although I play clean a lot, I need a fatter tone for powerchords, while remaining suitable for shredding as well. I was thinking of Dimarzios or Seymour Duncans...but I'm undecided at the moment.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dimarzios and Seymour Duncan are great pickups but I like the pups I get from www. guitarfetish.com , check them out. They are lower priced but I love the way they sound.

I have a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge of my strat and it's absolutely great for Metal. It is high output so I get great distortion tones for rythm and lead. And there's no hum. I highly recommed it. It is the best single coil pickup for metal your gonna find.

SD also makes single coil sized buckers. might be worth looking into.

EMG's first Rockfields next don't take my word for it check them out at a guitar store , they should have some instruments loaded with them I put EMGs first because the active pickups with a powerful amp will stretch your audience faces in a good way and the Rockfields for some reason (you will have to ask Todd) bring the best tone out of a guitar.
