I'm purchashing a road case for my head from New York Case Company, unless someone has another company to suggest...

Have you looked at, or considered, Anvil Cases? They have been keeping instruments and band equipment safe for many years, and pretty much any other road case company borrows something from their designs...

I've used Anvil and Roadrunner/ATA with good results.

I'm another Roadrunner user -- never had any issues, so I can recommend them. However, I can't say they're "better" then Anvil -- another good choice.

I ended up going with NYCase Company. I found them on Ebay and my case was a special order, and still under $150 with free shipping (no, this is not a commercial or a plug).

I expect it within the next 2 weeks or so. I'll report back, if anyone is interested.
