Jimi Hendrix never had any issues with the lack of left handed guitars...

Thats because he made the best of what he had available... Which is what all of us lefties do all the time... Just think if he wouldn't have and gave up (no Hendrix in the world???). I've had right handed guitars strung lefty and some times it can be a pain especially if you don't have giant hands like Hendrix did.

Again the main point of this topic is, in my mind, is that there is really no good reasons not to build more lefties...

But no one will admit that!!! Come on righties a little support, you of all people know how great it is to have choices.

Very true,

The point im trying to make is that with modern manufacturing techniques it is no harder to flip a design round and make a lefty.

Even if this is something they are unwilling to do for whatever reason it makes no sense whatsoever that there is an incredible lack of colors compared to the IDENTICAL right handed model

The Mexican Jazz bass right handed has 6 colors and 2 fingerboard options, the left handed has 2 colors no option bar rosewood.

I find that incredibly unfair.

I, for one, would definitely be inclined to buy more guitars if I had more colors and options to choose from. I realize that the market share of lefty players is relatively small, but still the discrepancy between left-handed and right-handed models currently available is pretty laughable.
