Don't know if this has been posted yet but a
re-run is worthwhile.
Log into PBS and check your local PBS station
for the schedule of broadcasts on "Great Performances"
of the Clapton/Winwood concert at Madison Square Garden, NYC.

First showing in the NY Metro area is Thurday evening, then Friday evening, and Sunday evening.

Doc

Having the CD, perhaps we can advise you if the video is worth the squeeze so to speak.

Thanks Doc!

Is this the one where Stevie plays that green CS Stratocaster and then squezees out the notes on the B3? I think so...

It's their first go'round in NYC. The current tour hit NJ. Interested parties can search 'Where's Eric?" I, on the other hand, though I wish him well, don't care.

TV will suffice.

I have THREE PBS stations in my area so I checked out "Great Performances" and found I could see Clapton & Winwood 5/31 at 11:00p or 6/1 at 3:00a. If I wanted to see Hitman: David Foster & Friends, it's on about 17 times over the next two weeks. And I've seen it already.

It's just not right.

Log into PBS.org and check the stations in your area for times. They will be showing more than once. For example:In NYC': Channel 13 starting Thurs evening, then Friday evening, Sunday evening, and a couple of early mornings. No doubt LI's Channel 21 will pick it up later on in the month to come.

You get Clapton and Winwood...I do a search, and we get Yanni and the 500th airing of Rock Rhythm and Doowop. WTF?

15.00 a month, and I get Yanni? Really?

Although I did see they are going to be airing Leonard Cohen Live in London on the 10th. Have to set that up to record.

See!! For $139 a month you get Clapton/Winwood; Paladia, VH1 Classic, a load of MTV Jam stuff I can't use, etc, etc, etc..... 8) It's likely your station hasn't opted to purchase that program, or is planning to. Contact them and see. Meanwhile.....for the $15, you can likely purchase the DVD on Amazon and have more show than PBS is offering. For example: when they broadcast 'Pulse" it does not contain the entire music program you can buy either on CD or DVD. However, during the Fund Raiser, you can get the 'expanded' version for 'an 85 million dollar membership contribution'

Well, it was interesting and inspiring to watch. Some of the arrangements point to the fact that one can interpret a song very well without going note for note. They did the Hendrix songs very well from that point of view. If haven't checked the set list against the DVD or CD but it seems to me the viewer was short-changed again....much like with 'Pulse" I was looking for 'Crossroads' and it wasn't included in the program but I believe it was in the set list of the concert. :?
