im so pround of myself that i just learnt it, its one song ive always wanted to play and now i finally can. just thought id share that with you guys lol

Congrats ! It's a great song, IMO. I first heard the Jimi Hendrix version, but I kinda liked the Clapton/Allman and the SRV versions also.

Jimi died this day in 1970. :cry:

Yeah, I like the Layla version too. It's almost always overlooked.

These days my version of Little Wing is a mix of Jimi, Stevie and Eric's versions....with a little bit o'me thrown in.

i'm about halfway through learning the hendrix version, but all of them are great.... SRV did it amazing live

Everybodies versions are pretty good, but I have to go with SRV's version. Especially the one from the El Mocambo. I learnt the studio version and then I happened across the one from the Mocambo on youtube and have been learning that one, it's tougher than the studio, alittle more fast paced and wilder. I still can't seem to nail the wah part in it.
