CALLEN,Are you laughing because you dont believe it.Well I have 3 bios on Hendrix and he is my all time no1 player.But it is a well known statement from Hendrix ,you can probably search the web and find it ask around and let me know what you hear.

Terry Kath WAS an amazing guitarist. Hendrix idolized a lot of players.
He liked technical players. Hendrix was a raw and emotional player. He was basically a blues player from another planet. :D

Did you know that when Gilby Clarke was being chosen to replace Izzy Stradlin in Guns N' Roses Axl wasn't keen on the idea saying to Izzy and Slash 'I've never liked that guy'..........they persuaded Axl to let him try........when Gilby turned up it turned out Axl had been calling someone else Gilby for 10 years......it was a different guy!

In the late 60s Eric Clapton went to Woodstock , NY and visited The Band who at that time were highly influential to the Beatles and Clapton himself. The point of Claptons visit was he was going to ask to join The Band but he got too afraid to do it.
