Anybody here had any experience with Ceriatone amps?.. I have been chattin' around in some amp forums and everybody speaks very highly of them. Only problem is most input I have gotten is from Gibson guys.. Was wondering how the fenders sounded through them… I have see a few Youtube videos but wanted some feed back from the fender players.. I have been thinking of a Dumble clone ( the HMR 100)….Anyone have or played through one of these amps?

here is their web sight

Hi wtcumm00: I'm ashamed to admit I know nothing about them.

That seems so wrong - I can't put my finger on it but I feel in some indefinable way those amps have my name on them...

Cheers - C

You looking at a complete amp or a kit?

Hard to say: kind of an instinct, I guess...

Is your real name Tony, perhaps?

Or maybe you are dyslexic and your name is actually Pam?

Otherwise, I don't see it.

I was really thinking about a kit. Problem with that is I remembered my last pickup change and the soldering iron fiasco ( Long story). I thought it would be cool to build a kit; I just have so many projects going on right now.. still assembling my pedal board, my amp baffle and I am working on new siding on the house to include a paint job, And the Job 12 hours a day 6 days a week is leaving me little time to really get any of it all done. Nik will do the complete amp for like 200 hundred bucks more, which suits me just fine.

Problem is that a boutique amp builder located in Southeast Asia makes it hard to test drive their equipment. Not like I am gonna’ find one in the local music store to play around with. I was just hoping someone here had messed with or heard one in real time and could give me their honest opinion. Youtube works pretty good to hear but you cant really se how they respond to touch/ attack on strings…

I can’t believe that nobody here has any experience whit these amps. I hate to pull the trigger on this until I am sure it a worthwhile investment…

Don't have a Ceriatone but do have a 50 Watt plexi clone built for me by a local Amp guru. Think thick, creamy Marshall crunch tones with just a rollback of the volume knob and your in clean territory. This 50 watter of mine is one loud mother. I had a MV put on it for use at home and smaller jams.Love it. Have only heard good things about Ceriatone . If you have the choice, go with the Mercury Magnetics transformers and choke. Makes all the difference in the world. Hope this helps, Mike

That’s a beauty cherokee747… that guy got a web sight or is he just a local builder?

I have been thinking about a Plexi or a JCM clone as well as a dumble..

Ceriatone will build these as well, but i reall rather buy from the US As opposed to SE Asia if possible… not that I don’t trust ceriatone, just rather cut down on my wait time and import fee/taxes and what not..
