I'm not sure how many of you have heard of Glenn Kaiser--around here most people haven't, yet other places he's well known.

Well he recently gave a guitar seminar locally and I attended. He also gave a solo concert that night.

I'll try not to gush, but...

It was a wonderful day. He gave us lots of info to consider on why we play what we do, and showed us some tricks of the trade, etc. He answered lots of questions. He played parts of many of his songs during all this, and then the concert was incredible.

The honesty, integrity and passion in his playing is his biggest strength, and a big part of the reason I love his music.

He spent time with us, greeted us, got to know something about us, signed autographs, etc.

He was just a real normal guy, and a nice one at that.

Sometimes people hesitate to meet people whose work they admire, for fear of disappointment. Not so in this case. It was an incredible day.

He says he's not much of a guitar player--but there he's wrong, he is. Yes, there are lots of guitarists who can play him under the table on technique--as he mentioned, but his passion & the honesty in his playing outshine them.

Anyway--for the last song & a half he was joined by a violin player--that's who's in the back of this picture.
