Ain't it just amazing that no matter how times this subject comes up there is no real hatred thrown at the other brand/s?

I own both Fender and Gibson guitars. I like both. I play both. My mood often dictates which one will be in my hands on any given day.

Which minute of which day?

It's a toss-up.

Last night, 'was blessed to play one of each.

This morning i whipped out the jaguar and started tp play some industrial stuff kmfdm nine inch nails, the jaguar hh has a good sound for that styleof music...after that i took out my esp truckster and started to play some machine head...i set up different guitars for different tunning im mainly drop d and b kinda guy.

My jim root is always at b and sometimes a

but like what everyone else says, there isn't really a hatred towards the makers, its more of a preference of what to play?

I will say one thing if you think gibsons are expensive look at PRS american guitars OMFG lol

My Paul Allender PRS from korea is pretty close to the american models and it costs way less and is one of the best sounding guitars i have.

I love the sounds I get from both. In the band I'm in, we have 3 guitars, so when to play and what you play as well as tone makes a huge difference. The other 2 guitars are single coils, a Strat and an Ernie Ball Luke, so I use my Heritage and other humbucker equipped guitars for my parts so my frequncies mix well with theirs. When I get the chance, I use my Strat and Tele but that is not often.

I have owned both and love them both for their strengths. I currently own a Highway 1 Strat, a Strat VG, an Epiphone 56 Goldtop Les Paul and an Epiphone Les Paul Custom. All of them are great, but have different sounds and capabilities. Even the VG can't duplicate the sound of a Les Paul, but then the Les Paul can't sound like a Strat. There is a reason for both.
