Picked up a Little Giant "Half Stack" this afternoon! I love this little amp - its the one with the little head and speaker cab - this thing is mean - I played with it for a long time the other day before going on vacation, and couldnt wait to get home to go get this thing - it sounds so friggin good and clear - I was playing it this evening flipped onto the 3 watt setting - Such a good tone - I cant wait to put some pedals through this thing - the tone straight into it is amazing - If you havent had a chance, play around with one of these when you can - you will be surprised!

I would like to hear from you again. I am seriously considering getting one of those, but so far all I have to go by is youtube videos. My local GC and SamAsh don't carry those amps.

They're great, killer tone, owned (yes, its gone!) one for a while. Ran the head through a single 12" marshall cab, great tone, I'd recommend one to anyone.

Gemini - My friends are dealers, and could prob mail order ya one if you are interested

I spent some time with this amp today, really dug into this thing - I keep it on the 3 watt setting and get some killer break up - I was playing different guitars through it, and was able to achieve some killer individual tones - I was playing my LP through it, no pedals, awesome! Played the '75 strat through it, another strat with Texas Special p/u's - my '08 strat, it was pretty cool - this thing will be used more than my '66 bassman and JCM 900 for now!! lol

I recommend these to anyone who wants a kick $@! sounding tube amp!

I was not sure how well the BlackHeart Amps were going to be when they first come out but it seems people like them. I have never been a fan of Crate Amps which is why I was skeptical about them. Loud Tech has done OK with the Ampeg brand and there bass amps and they make that Ampeg J-20 which is a smoking amp I just wish they made more of those blue diamond guitar combos!

Yeah, if you had told me 10 years ago that I would be raving about a Crate amp, I would have asked you to pass me the joint 'cause you had to be really high...

Now I am convinced it's the best buy on the amp market for a low wattage all tube amp, bar none. It's built like a tank, and with a simple tube upgrade, it will compete tonally with anything out there, especially after the Eminence speaker breaks in. I got mine as a temporary solution until I could afford a Reeves or Dr Z., but I have been so pleased with it, that I haven't even thought about replacing it. If I do upgrade, it will probably end up being their Handsome Devil 15/7...As a matter of fact, the only complaint I can muster would be about the big cheesy plastic logo.

There is a reason they are quickly become a cult amp...

Yea, the logo is a bit much! My niece loves it though! lol

Yea, never a fan of Crate amps either - I have had a few of them, but they never stuck around long

I plan on doing the tube upgrade soon - they are already on order

I've been considering picking up a second one, putting in a 12au7 for a little more clean and running a stereo rig...

I have a Handsome Devil combo, the 7/15 watt model. Great tone. I usually have it set pretty clean and play with a Boss Metal Zone and Ibanez TS9. It works out great, the TS9 doesn't change the tone too much, it almost acts like it gives the amp a second channel and the Metal Zone gives it a huge push. I wish I would have gotten the head and cab, but I've been debating adding a second speaker cab for a while. They're great amps for the money. I actually returned a Blues Jr for this one, but the Blues is an awesome amp too.

I got the Little Giant as well, but the Blackheart Killer Ant has been my all out favorite since picking it up on October for practicing alone at home...
