Cudos to Greenday. Too many artists (or their labels) are forced to censor their music just to sell a few through Walmart. I agree with the others who have already stated that parents should be the ones that impose what is right for our children to listen too.

Walmart should worry more about the way they treat their employees and the way their vendors treat their empolyees more than worring about everyone else listening to a few swear words or having a political opinion that is not the "norm". I do not see Green Day having children work in sweat-shops, telling their people that if they are sick to come into work anyways or they will be fired, or working their employees without offering a lunch break after 8-10 hour days.

I agree that Walmart sucks, but so does pretty much the rest of the low budget markets out there.

I LOVE IT . Some of us are old enough to remember when rock and roll shows were banned, the music considered the devil's work, The Beatle's recordings destroyed in bulk in public burnings and so on......

Now there's a category of music known as Christian Rock, a Hasidic 'person'.......

(yes Virginia...there is a way out of some kinds of censorship).....they'll allow the former cultural scriptor but not that of the latter)

........is playing his version of heavy metal, a well known artist of the Sixties has adopted Islam and performs under his new name....and on, and on, and on.

Let's not get too bent out of shape about Walmart. Just vote with your feet.
