So many, its hard to narrow it down, but here it goes;

Zappa: Royal Oak Music Theater, Feb 1988 (all three nights)

Pink Floyd: Pontiac Silverdome, July 1994, both shows. The second show is where they played DSotM for the first time in 20 years :D I was living in Texas and saw the Houston and Dallas shows then flew back to Detroit for those two.

Buddy Guy and B.B. King both the same night earlier this year, Buddy Guy is an amazing guitar player, and B.B. King is too but when i saw B.B. King he talked for over half the show, still amazing to see the legend.

want to see Roger Waters but i just moved to a city where he isn't coming. :(

man this is a hard one. ive been to a ton of shows. been to a lot of private gigs. seen a lot of bands, lots of memories.
i think the one that stood out the most for me was elvis just before
he died. man that was a show.
it was so loud just as the lights went out. i was just a kid and had never seen such a gathering of people in my life. maybe i was 8.
loud i tell you. flash bulbs were going off all over the place man.
it was crazy. looked like a lightning storm or something.
you could see the band walking across the stage from all the bulbs.
it got even louder. ive never to this day heard something so loud w/o amps. chics were crying everywhere. i was asking my cousin who was way old than i was, in his late 20's why everybody was crying. he just laughed and said watch the show. i didnt know if i was 'pose to be crying to or what lol. in a flash the lights were up and here came the king.
man the rumble of that place was crazy. he walked from side to side of the stage while the band opened up with CC rider. he wasnt even singing and the whole front of the stage was more packed than any show i have seen since. the guards were pulling people over the rails just to keep them from getting crushed. so he started singing. the people in the whole place didnt get seated until well into the fifth song i bet.
so in the middle of the show elvis did some of his slow tunes.
he pulled out this bar stool and just set there singing. the roadies brought out another bar stool and a box, set it beside him. every so often he would reach in and grab a sink hankerchif and wipe the sweat and toss it out.
man, the chics went nuts fellas. im talking like he was dropping million dollar lotto tickets. like wolves , savages. by this time i had the
binoculars. seeing this at the age of 8 was crazy. theres no words to describe the sight i was seeing. ive never to this day saw anything like it.
just wow. i saw this heavy girl jump for a hanky, and another girl grabs it at the same time. tug of war started. punching, hair pulling, swinging like mad while each had 1/2 of the prize. i went to get my cousins attention to report a fight. i look over and my cousins wife was gone. i look back in the binoc's and shes the fat chic that was fighting lol. so she returns to her seat with her 1/2 of the prize. in the corner there elvis's initials lol.
she got the important part. thats probably the best "show" ive ever seen.
elvis had two really good guitar players in his career,
scotty moore and james burton. if you missed the little known guitar player named james burton, you really missed something. he could damn sure make a tele sing. this tele he played for yrs. cant imagine what this thing is worth but dang it sure sounded classic.

My parents were going to take me to see Elvis in the winter of '77. Unfortunately, it being Michigan, the weather got really nasty and we didn't get to go :( They both said "don't worry, there'll be another chance". 6 months later he was gone

I'm basically a straight up blues and rock guy but my best in show was 3rd row center at the old Boston Garden 1994 for Nine Inch Nails with Marilyn Manson and the Jim Rose Circus. Incredible show.
