...first, The Beatles, the song Help. Then, The Monkeys, The Last Train to Clarksville! Finally, Deep Purple. "Smoke on the water, bumh bumh bumh, bumh bumh -- bumh bummm. bumh bumh bumh, bumh bumh." Now, everybody inspires me.

Carlos Santana , Terry Kath and of course Jimi. George Benson on "This Masqurade" was amazing for that time. Music is expression, express yourself...

I was not inspired by the guitar but I was inspired by the ‘beautiful’ sound of the bass

No one (seriously). My friends and I had talked about starting a band, and it was decided that I should be the guitar player. So I got a guitar, and started to learn.

John Deacon from Queen. I still am amazed when I listen to his bass work on the early Queen albums.

Haha, isn't he just the best?? :P
Some of his bass solos are simply AH-MAZING....
Live albums are really awesome, too, when Brian and him are playing off of each other when Brian is going into his 8+ minute long guitar solo.

For me, Brian May of Queen was the one who inspired me to pick up the guitar and start learning.
When I started to learn the bass for a few weeks, obviously John Deacon was the one who I looked to for inspiration. :D
Oh, and if in case anyone's wondering, I only was able to play and learn how to play the bass for a week or two because I was borrowing it from the music studio/school I was at for a while. :)
