Aerosmith, Sabbath, AC/DC...and pretty much any other riff based rock band...it's all just schlock garbage.

I could understand Ac/Dc maybe and even Aerosmith just a little but the Sabbath!! :o

lol Yeah...I'll be sure to steer clear of Antwerp...because guitar players are scary. lol

i like being different and nothing feels better than discovering an truly amazing little-known band or artist but i do have to admit that some of the over-hyped and over-popular bands are actually quite good. normally not so good that their hype and popularity should be as high as it is but i enjoy some of the bands. i know i have a little bit of a problem with this but, i don't think that what bands you like should be determined by how popular they are. its fine if your favorite band is the most or least popular in the world we shouldn't let other people influence us that way.

Just my opinion.

ok i'm done now

I didn't say they were bubblegum . . . I'm just saying Kurt & Company didn't really bring all that much to the table. If you thought I called Nirvana Bubblegum, I'm sorry, but I don't think Nirvana really brought that much that hadn't already been brought.

WOW…….I cant believe I just read through this whole thread, 20 minutes of my life gone/ never get it back. This thread is like a train wreck; painful to see but for some reason you just can’t look away.

That’s how promotion works in the music industry. Get an artist or band on the radar and be known. When it gets to the point that people think you are overrated; your selling records and making sleazy suit types money.
After all the music industry has nothing to do with music, only $$$$$$$$$$

No, you're not. Nobody who hates anything or walks around saying that so-and-so is "overrated" (what the hell does that mean, anyway? That somebody enjoys the music and they shouldn't?) is ever "right."

This kind of thread is the hallmark of people who talk about music instead of playing it.

No recording artist is "overrated." They're all working musicians. The popular ones found an audience. If that bugs you for some reason, tough.
First of all look up the word SUBJECTIVE,

Secondly, I was bored at work and am wasting time and am not hurting anyone.

Thirdly, unless your last name is Fender, and I doubt it is, then this isn't your website so if you don't like it don't post or don't read it. You have that right.

Fourhtly and most importantly......piss off

both of you bros got it down , very nice , on the first one i've been able to follow that thought with two exceptions one summer when i needed a gig i told the keyboard player in a band that his guitarist sucked and they should audition me , i got the gig worked all summer then did the same thing with another band same circumstances this time the singer and sang with them a couple of months , both guys i replaced were in fact good when i was younger i could be very , but my excuse was i needed a gig , so , then , on the second one , is that subjective?

"Piss off?" Oh, my... how rapaciously pointed, how deliciously droll! Well met, good sir... this battle of wits is over!

Oh, my.... if only I'd revisited this thread back when I cared. I would have eviscerated you back then. But now... well, why bother?

wtcumm00 certainly summed up this - and all "who I hate" threads - in a neat package.

I'll probably get crucifed, although I did see him mentioned by at least one other person. I gotta go with Dave Matthews. Don't get me wrong, I wish I had have the talent that guy has, but once he opens his mouth... I find his singing to be whiney, nasally and genreally annoying! And he just seems like he'd be a smart alec type of guy from the few interviews I have seen of him. Please don't hate on me people! :(
