hey, i'm useing 10s at the min because my strat came set up with them but i was thinking of moving too 11s r 12s ?? is there much more of a difference ?? and would i need to get my bridge and trem set up different ????

hey thanks, yeah i thought it would, mabey 12 would have been to much of a jump,

for the 11s would i need to change my action that much ???

Changing to heavier strings means probably widening the nutslots,
setting the neckrelief,setting the action and setting intonation.

No, it's not. A complete setup and having the nut checked is a must.

Oh it's possible you might be able to get away with it without to much trouble. I'm sure your nut slot will be fine for 11's. I use 12's, I bend heavy and break a lot. I would say 11's is a good place to start.

The 11s will fit right in. You should not have any problem at all. its not a real big jump at all. The 12s on the other hand will take some set up. Go with the 11s for now and if you still feel like you need it to be heavier go for the big jump. I think you will be happy with them
