First you should play it stock for awhile to determine what you like and don't like. Then you can think of modifications. :)

I have been playing it since november 2008 now I really do not like the bridge on it. I think I might change the bridge to the same one as the american standard one if thats possible

You could but if you change the bridge, the pickups, and the pickguard you might as well have bought the American standard.

Change the bridge saddles instead of the whole bridge. It will be much more economical considering the MX has a good bridge block. Definitely change the pickups though.

It's worth upgrading though, and in the end it still is cheaper than an American Strat.

+1 on the pickups/pickguard. New pickups would make it sound great and a new pickguard would give it a cool custom look.

I'd put some SCN pickups in it. Those things sound sweet, I've got a friend with those in his 50th Ann. Am. Deluxe.

Pimp a guitar?

Modify or Upgrade, but never pimp a guitar.

Hello Dogman91,

Installation of locking tuners
would be my first upgrade.

Cheers.

Indeed. If you want to pimp a guitar, you'd have to put it on the street, and then slap, punch, and kick it around a lot, battering it into submission so that it gives you whatever money it happens to make. Not a nice way to treat a guitar.

I'm always in favor of upgrading pickups. Stock pickups are such a bore.
You could get some fancy anodized hardware too.

:D Maybe even get one of those stick on "bling" kits as seen on TV and just go nuts :D

I can see it now:
"MTV and the Jonas Brothers present: Pimp My Guitar!"

Sorry, I had to take the shot.

If you want to "pimp" your guitar I guess you can post it on Craigs List in the Erotic section, but only until this Tuesday. Then it will have to be in the Adult Services section.
