The blue lace on my strat's neck can hit stevie's tone dead on, especially on the vintage channel of my Boogie. You can howl away on that all day.

The JB Jr on my bridge can go from twangy country to full blown balls-out metal that will light your grandma's sweet blue hair on fire.

If I roll the tone knob down on either, I can get a nice creamy tone from them as well...

Did I mention the HB is splittable? The selector is thus a 5-way switch.

If you had a tortise shell pickguard on it I would have ran in and double checked to see if mine was gone. nice touch with the coil split I may have to try that. Mine has gold hardware too.

The 5-way switch with the HB coil split was stock on mine, btw. Iirc it was stock on the Tex-Mex model (mine), the California Series model, and the US model.
