I mean is it Chad Kroeger looks like a cocker spaniel?

Does the Canadian thing play into it?

Is it cause his voice sounds like he really needs help on the toilet?

I don't understand how a band that blows that hard has a record contract.

And is it just strip club DJ's buying their records? Cause i gotta tell you i would be really disappointed in someone if they actively sought to purchase a song called "Something in your mouth".

Not to mention they have managed to rhyme the word "Sorry" with "Story" by stretching the vowels to say "SOARREE"

I'm puzzled. I actually get angry when i hear them on the radio. I'd rather listen to my nieces Hannah Montana CD on continuous loop.

Am i overreacting? I just think that it's an injustice for them to be allowed to continue further.

The greatest band of all time in 4/5ths Canadian so its not that. (BTW I'm talking about The Band) And Rush is all canadian. So there is NO "Canadian Factor"

Nickelback has to be one of the worst bands ever!!!! The crappy thing is they put out albums that sell. How many albums of the same stuff can you put out before you get bored. It's mindless drones that listen to what the radio tells them what is cool that make bands like this popular.

It's all subjective man.

Depending on your outlook you can say the same about ANY group/singer/band etc.

I hated Nirvana with a passion and look how much they sold.

And look at some of the other biggest sellers on the charts, M Jackson, Madonna, Village People.....isn't there a "barfing" smilie on here, need one of those btw.

And I'm a KISS fan so take your same arguments against Nickelback and I've heard them about KISS. Does that make me less of a KISS fan, or want to sell my KISS collection, or regret the 16 times I saw them live in concert...? No.

You're probably overreacting, turn the station, change the cd, and move on is probably your best course of action.

If we were all the same the world would be pretty boring don't ya think?

Your lumping Michael Jackson and Madonna with the Village People?

Lets see....The Beatles...The Stones.....The Who....Led Zepellin....and The Bay City Rollers.

Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson and Boyz 2 Men....

Yeah, I'll lump them together just because the VP only had one real hit, but that damned song has lived on long enough to make them just as annoying as M Jackson and Madonna.

Again, it's all subjective. We like what we like and hate what we hate.

Grilled ham and cheese w/ green pepper and scrambled egg sandwich anyone? I love those too.

I don't like Nickelback much but I watch that and think how $@!&#* it must feel to be in that situation. I've had some bad gigs over the years but never rocks.......!!!

Like 'em or hate 'em but no one, not even Michael J, deserves rocks chucked at them on stage.

Only thing i would disagree with here is that i would say 20 years, not 15. i am sure in all eras there were a lot of terrible bands, that mainstream buyers listened to, but now there doesn't seem to be as many good bands to go along with em.

At least there used to be a 10cc or a Status Quo to balance off with The Osmands, or David Cassidy.
