Speaking of Top Gear this is the best car ride they did 253mph in a luxury car with aircondition and every lux you could want.

I've heard of it on some cable channel. I'll have to check it out. Here in the US it's mostly about muscle cars and rice rockets (althought the Fast and Furious craze is almost over). Notice most car manufacturers are shifting to rear wheel drive to accomodate the huge horsepower gains from the aftermarket tech.

I think Simon Cowell has one. There are couple around here in Miami from the Braman dealership belonging to some basketball players. (They have the best cars).

For me it will always be the Ferrari F50 which I saw at the Collection in Coral Gables. Too bad I'm still driving around in the same old pick up while everyone else at work is getting promotions and drving BMW, Porsche, Lexus and Infiniti.

I know it's a conspiracy. I just haven't been able to put my finger on it

I never got into oval track racing. I'm more of a road-race guy...Formula 1, SCCA, ALMS, endurance racing, Rolex Sports car series, and especially the World Rally Championship where a bunch a crazy guys go 120-140mph thru woods, mountains and other obstacle filled roads (sometimes the spectators are the obstacles...they are allowed extremely close to the road). I have a Subaru WRX and got my love of that car from seeing Subaru compete in WRC. The last few years have been boring though because Sebastian Loeb has won EVERYTHING!!! Damn those Citroens (though Seb is an incredible driver). Here is a link for you car-crash junkies of the voted top ten crashes in WRC.

I used to love the CART/PPG series. I love road racing with the twists and turns. The best racing in America are those courses that are in the woods. Not a NASCAR fan.

Here's my car: (hence the MrSpyderman moniker)

Love the car guitar.

Nice car. I fell in love with the Fiat XRT It was very similar. Then the new Lotus which uses a Toyota engine also but very expensive. I'm surprised still no turbo.

I wouldn't mind having one but I'm kind of in a time worp taking care of an old AMC Spirit. There is a pic on my web.

Interesting AMC Spirit, Mustangtoo. I wasn't a big fan of AMC products except the Javelin. A friend of mine had a Gremlin in high school. My ex wife had a Pacer wagon. But I defintely admire you for keeping it at the condition it's in.

Have you thought about changing your name since you don't have the Mustang anymore? I've thought about that if someday I got rid of the spyder.

The lotus has the same engine as the spyder.

I don't really consider the AMC mine. I'm just taking care of it for a family member like I have since the day it was purchased in '82. So I'm not sure how that is going to work out.

I always feel like one way or another I'm going to wind up with another Mustang. Maybe I've just watched Gone in 60 seconds one time too many. I would imagine that will be the same for you. There are a lot of spyders out there and I'm sure you will hang on to yours for a long time. Maybe your next one will be a Ferrari spyder 360 Modena. :)
